Scholfield is from the self-taught school of filmmaking. He started out making street style music videos in the UK grime scene for artists such as Pro Green, Kano, Wretch 32, Devlin and Dizee. And this is something he still loves doing, with killer videos for two of London’s biggest urban artists upping in the ante in video visuals: Wiley “Boasty” and Stormzy “Vossi Bop”, the latter of which just won Video of the Year and also helped net Henry Best Director at the 2019 UKMVA’s & 1.4 Awards.

Not to be tied down to any particular genre Henry has also directed record breaking videos for Billie Eilish, Rosalia and Dua Lipa, for which we won Best UK Pop Video at the UKMVA’s over two consecutive years, with his video for “New Rules” breaking viewing records on YouTube, last count up to 2bn and counting.

He has utilized the craft as a testing ground and an arena to develop his visual styles and concepts. His skill for creating innovative & beautifully choreographed films has made him one of the top go-to-guys for high-concept video’s in promo land and commercials. Never content with a literal take on a track, as he says himself, “the best ideas are the ones you catch out of the corner of your eye.”

Scholfield’s attention to detail and storytelling style has successfully transitioned into his commercial projects which includes work for high profile clients such as Argos, Barclaycard, Budweiser, Bacardi, Converse, Google, Red Cross, Skoda, Sprite, Stella Artois & his latest for Pepsi, to name a few.
