Growing up between Abuja, Nigeria and Atlanta, Georgia, Boma’s directorial style reflects strong emotional and familial connections to both places, their communities and histories.
Boma made his directorial debut in 2019 and has gone from strength-to-strength since. In 2020, he released ‘Heirs,’ a Gen-Z reimagining of Nike’s Air Jordan Brand which featured at New York Fashion Week. In 2021, his narrative short ‘Comfort’ premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was later acquired by Amazon Prime for distribution. And in 2022, Boma made his episodic debut directing Showtime’s ‘The Chi’ (season 5).
This is all while delivering branded content for Dove, Ford, Jeep, Nissan, Oakley, The New Yorker among others, and music videos for the likes of Berhana, Camila Cabello, Mahalia ft. Jojo and Oxlade.
