Scholfield is from the self-taught school of filmmaking. Starting out making street style videos on the UK grime scene for artists such as Pro Green, Kano, Wretch 32, Devlin and Dizee. In his more mainstream work, his storytelling style encompasses in-camera sleight-of-hand and inventive choreography to create innovative high-concept videos. Never content with a literal take on a track, as he says himself, 'the best ideas are the ones you catch out the corner of your eye...'
Recent collaborations include clips for Take That, Ella Eyre, Aluna George & an incredibly engaging (award winning) video for Stromae's 'Tous Les Memes' which has amassed a staggering 137 million views and counting.
That said, he's always keen to go back to his roots working with underground artist Spryo last year on the video for 'Side by Side', dubbed by mixmag as 'one of grimes finest moments of the last 12 months'.
