    Maggie Carey is an award-winning writer, director, and producer living in Los Angeles.

    Originally from Boise, Idaho, Maggie got her MFA degree in Film from University of Texas, Austin. After college, she headed to New York where she became a regular at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Chelsea.

    In 2013, she wrote and directed her feature debut, The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza and Bill Hader. Since then she has gone on to direct for numerous shows including Silicon Valley, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Love, and Barry.

    Most importantly, Maggie was a Division 1 athlete in college.
