London born Jonathan Herman dropped out of music school to begin working professionally as the assistant director on various award winning Dutch TV series. His own film experiments attracted attention too, and he was soon commissioned to make a set of short art films featuring up and coming Dutch jazz musicians, earning him a Dutch Academy Award nod.
Since 2002 Jonathan has produced a constant flow of award winning commercial work. In 2003 he won a Bronze Lion at Cannes, a Silver ADCN Lamp in the Netherlands and Gold Eurobest in London. In 2004 he was short-listed at Cannes for Univé ‘Fly’ and Planet Internet ‘Nerd.’ His ‘Marriage’ campaign for Radio Donna won the Crystal for Best European Film at the Meribel Festival in France and a Silver World Medal at the New York Festivals in NYC. In 2005 Jonathan won the Grand Prix de Strategies in Paris and a Gold Lion at Cannes for films for the French newspaper L'Equipe. In January 2006 Jonathan was awarded the Hits d'Or, an annual award for best commercial director in France. Since, he has worked for a number of international clients including Heineken Champions League, Peugeot, Amstel, Volkswagen and Sky.
