Rebel Acquired by Yellow Veil Pictures for United States Distribution

Rebel is going international! The lauded film has been acquired by NYC and LA-based Yellow Veil Pictures, and will be distributed throughout the United States this year. Yellow Veil has bought the rights to Rebel for distribution in both the US and Canada. To date, the film has been sold to 70 countries and has been screened at over 20 international film festivals.
Rebel, directed by duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and produced by CAVIAR’s Bert Hamelinck and Dimitri Verbeeck, previously enjoyed a highly successful theatrical run in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg, impressing critics and regular viewers alike. The film follows Kamal, a young man who despite his resolve to help Syrian war victims is forced to join the militia. While Kamal’s younger brother Nassim becomes a target for radical recruiters promising to reunite him with his brother, their mother Leila fights to protect her son and his future.
Founded by Hugues Barbier, Justin Timms, and Joe Yanick in 2018, Yellow Veil Pictures focuses exclusively on boundary pushing genre cinema and seeks to highlight emergent filmmakers who exist on the cusp of commercial, arthouse cinema, while maintaining a unique focus on festival strategy and production and packaging.
We are excited for new audiences to experience and enjoy this film. Look for Rebel in United States theaters this fall.
