Caviar and Protagonist Pictures Reunite for Love Language

Caviar is thrilled to announce Love Language, an upcoming romantic comedy written and directed by Joey Power (After Everything, Banana Split), now in post production. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz (The Peripheral, The Miseducation of Cameron Post) alongside Anthony Ramos (Twisters, In the Heights), Manny Jacinto (The Acolyte), Isabel May (1883), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), and Billie Lourd (Booksmart).
Following a broken engagement, Lou (Moretz) discovers a surprising new talent for writing heartfelt wedding vows for others. As her business takes off across Chicago’s wedding scene, Lou finds herself falling for Dash (Ramos) until she’s asked to write vows for Olivia (May), who happens to be marrying Lou’s former flame, Warren (Jacinto).
Caviar fully financed Love Language, produced by Ari Lubet (3 Arts Entertainment), Colin Jost and Jeff Grosvenor (No Notes Productions), and Caviar’s Bert Hamelinck and Allison Hironaka. Executive producers include Michael Sagol (Caviar), Joey Power, and Tyson Bidner. CAA Media Finance represents U.S. rights, while Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales and will introduce the film to buyers at the American Film Market next month.
Behind the camera, the creative team includes director of photography Andrew Wehde (The Bear), editor Jennifer Vecchiarello (Reality), production designer Merje Veski (The Bear), and costume designer Olivia Perdoch.
“Protagonist Pictures continues to be a trusted partner for us and they are an ideal match on Love Language,” said Bert Hamelinck, Head of Film and Global Managing Director at Caviar. “Joey’s unique vision, combined with the stellar cast, makes this a standout launch for AFM. We can’t wait for audiences to fall in love with this sharp, offbeat rom com.”
Dave Bishop, CEO of Protagonist Pictures, added:
“From the moment we read Joey’s script, we knew Love Language had that rare mix of heart and humor audiences crave. With this incredible cast and Joey’s direction, it’s a film that will make you laugh, ache, and fall a little bit in love yourself.”
Rounding out the cast are Morgan Jay, Zach Zucker, Bobbi Althoff, Chloe Fineman, Stephen Schneider, Dan Perrault, Christian A. Pierce, and Marchant Davis.
