Variety Names Dead End (Dood Spoor) One of the Best International Series of the Year

We are incredibly excited to share that Dead End (Dood Spoor), produced by Caviar, has been selected by Variety as one of the ten best international TV shows of the year.
In a moment when streaming platforms have firmly established themselves as the driving force of the global television landscape, Variety’s international team chose to spotlight series that stand out for their originality and strong creative vision. These are shows that feel distinctly human and creator led, and we are proud to see Dead End included among them.
Created by Flemish writer and director Malin Sarah Gozin, Dead End was singled out for its fearless premise and darkly comic tone. The series follows Ed Bex, a detective with an unusual ability to relive a victim’s final moments by tasting a small part of their corpse. It is a bold mix of murder mystery, dark comedy, and family drama that uses shock and humor to explore deeper themes around morality, empathy, and consumption.
Dead End first premiered at Canneseries, where it quickly became one of the most talked about titles of the festival. Its inclusion in Variety’s annual selection also reflects the growing international recognition of Flemish storytelling and the strength of the creative community behind it.
We are deeply grateful to Variety for this recognition and incredibly proud of everyone who helped bring Dead End (Dood Spoor) to the screen.
