CAVIAR’s New Docu-Comedy Series Paul T. Goldman Sets Premiere On Peacock

This is one story that you’ll have to see to believe. Our new docu-comedy series Paul T. Goldman follows the stranger-than-fiction life of its title character, a seemingly ordinary man who wrote a book and turned it into a screenplay (in which he gave himself a starring role), but who ultimately finds himself in a much more unusual situation than anyone could have anticipated.
The series was a long time in the making — 10 years to be exact. After Paul tweeted at CAVIAR director Jason Woliner looking for help bringing his story on the screen, Jason purchased his book, read it, and knew he had to respond. “The story is equal parts fascinating, hilarious, shocking, and often weirdly moving,” Jason said in a press release. “It has endless bizarre turns, and Paul himself is the most captivating person I’ve ever encountered.”
From there, the two began filming what would ultimately become this series, with help from the team at CAVIAR. Executive Producer Michael Sagol worked in collaboration with producers Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg to bring Jason’s vision for this unbelievable story to life. “We’ve supported Jason every step of the way,” says Michael. “This is truly one of the weirdest, funniest, coolest, and most unique projects we’ve ever been a part of.”
The first three episodes of Paul T. Goldman will be available on January 1st on Peacock, with new episodes following weekly. Watch the official trailer below.
