Dood Spoor Shines at Canneseries Festival

The cast of Dood Spoor lit up the pink carpet at this year’s Canneseries, the prestigious international festival celebrating excellence in television, held annually in Cannes, France.
Selected as one of eight series in competition, Dood Spoor (Dead End) stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the world’s most acclaimed and award-winning shows.
Produced by Caviar and Lompvis, and backed by Flanders’ free-to-air channel Play4 and streaming platform Streamz, the series stars Peter Van den Begin (1985) as the weary but determined Ed Bex, and Elise Schaap (Undercover) as a forensic pathologist drawn into Ed’s unconventional investigative world. The show marks a reunion between Van den Begin and creator Malin-Sarah Gozin, following their work together on Tabula Rasa.
Dood Spoor premiered on 11 February 2025 and quickly became a critical and commercial hit. It has since earned multiple awards and has been hailed as the most successful series launch on Streamz to date.
Written and directed by Malin-Sarah Gozin, with co-direction by Hans Vercauter, Dood Spoor will close the official competition at Canneseries—an honour befitting one of the most talked-about series of the year.
