The Accompanist to World Premiere at Tribeca Festival 2026

We’re thrilled to announce that The Accompanist has been selected to make its World Premiere at the Tribeca Festival as part of the festival’s landmark 25th edition.
A celebration of bold, original storytelling, Tribeca has long been a home for distinctive voices in film, and we’re honoured for The Accompanist to be included in this year’s lineup.
Directed and co-written by Zach Woods, The Accompanist tells the story of 9-year-old Emily, who is removed from the care of her aging grandfather by a rookie child-welfare agent and placed with the witchy, funny, and unpredictable Sylvia. As the two build a surprising bond, they discover that forging a new family is not without risk.
The film stars Susan Sarandon, Everly Carganilla, and Aubrey Plaza.
Produced by Lauren Bratman, Michael Sagol, Allison Hironaka, and Carlos Zozaya, the screenplay is written by Zach Woods and Brandon Gardner.
We’re incredibly proud to share this film with audiences for the first time at Tribeca and can’t wait for festivalgoers to experience it.
The Tribeca Festival runs June 3–14, 2026 in New York City.
