Adil el Arbi and Bilall Fallah
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are a Belgian-Moroccan screenwriters and directors duo. The two met each other while studying at the Lukas School of Arts in Brussels. They first broke through to the main audience with their film ‘Image’ in 2014. They’re also known for Black (2015), Gangsta (2018), Bad Boys for Life (2020), Grand (Soil) (2021) on Netflix, Ms. Marvel (2022) and REBEL (2022).
With their gritty, electrifying, and distinctive style, they have earned many nominations and awards throughout their careers. Black scored at the Toronto International Film Festival, winning the Discovery Award. Gangsta also scored internationally, winning the Directors to Watch award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
More recently, their movie REBEL won the Jury Award at Philadelphia Film Festival as well as Best Film at the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival. REBEL was also selected for Midnight Screening at Cannes Film Festival 2022.
